It's that time of year again...
The winter is the off season for us on the farm. While we do attend some farmers' markets throughout the year (please check our market page for more info). All our produce is highly dependent on the weather as we do not use heated greenhouses. We also frequently experience flooding during the winter months. Not to mention, that this is the time when John & Sally, the extremely hard working owners of the farm, finally get to take a vacation and get away from the farm! We also have very few employees this time of year because we have much less produce available to sell. So, if you're interested in special projects, tours, etc..... though not impossible, please be advised that this may not be the best time. It all depends on the weather and our availability.
If you're interested in catering: Chef JC is still available for catering through Dec. 15th. After that he will be on vacation until February when the farm stand re-opens (Thursday, Feb. 12).
If you're interested in employment: Since we just had to lay off many of our hard working employees for the winter season (there are very few year-round employees on the farm) we aren't too likely to hire you right now. Your best bet is to check back with us in the Spring! We do advertise when we're looking for employees as well. It's been a hard time for a lot of people and we do understand how hard it is to find a job in this economy but as a seasonal business there's not much we can do for you in the winter. The spring and summer are when we really need people. Most of the opportunities we will have at that time will be in the packing shed or fields.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in our business.

Our October 25th Wine Dinner with Airlie Winery was a success. Thank you to Airlie and our wonderful guests. Here's a look at the menus...

Our next dinner will be on Valentine's Day. It won't be the same format as our Wine Dinners as we will not be partnering with a Wine maker. However, wine will be available for those who want it and it will be held in a smaller more intimate setting. The food will still be the same outstanding fare that we serve for our Wine Dinners.

The GTF Pumpkin Festival has been cancelled for this season.
We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to our Pumpkin Festival and have been so loyal in attending the festival every year. Unfortunately, due to the erratic weather this spring & summer our pumpkin crop will be minimal. This means we won't have enough pumpkins for the festival. Even though a failed crop is just one of the many hazards of being in the farming business, it's unfortunate that it was drastic enough to effect our Pumpkin Festival. Thank you to all of our many Pumpkin Festival supporters.
